St. Patrick's Day Cupcakes 2015

This year I fell in love with these little leprechaun hats. I was inspired by this blog post. http://www.munchkinmunchies.com/2011/03/granola-for-st-patricks-day.html. I used Mini Nilla wafers and mini M&Ms,the gold coins are Smarties sprayed gold with Wilton color mist. Here is one way to get the frosting rainbow swirl. http://nikissweetside.com/how-to-make-rainbow-cupcakes/.  I used the plastic wrap method.

Whoopie Pies

http://whatscookingamerica.net/History/WhoopiePieHistory.htm This is the recipe I followed.
These Whoopie pies bring back memories of My Aunt Marilyn. I have said this before, I have a lot of childhood memories wrapped up in food. The smell of coffee reminds me of my Grandpa Andy. Roast beef in the oven brings me back to my Nana's kitchen.

Cupcakes for an evening of one-act plays.

Last night Ernie and I enjoyed an evening of watching our daughter Emma-Lea in a performance of one-act plays. The theme was Just Your Luck. There were five one act plays in which Emma-Lea acted. The play Emma was in is called Captive Audience by David Ives, she was very funny and had great timing. Even though it was Friday the 13th! She really does love the stage!
The cupcakes were made for the cast party.  http://sallysbakingaddiction.com/2014/03/28/raspberry-chocolate-chip-layer-cake/ .  The frosting is chocolate cream cheese. The theatrical masks are from candy molds I found on amazon.

Gumball Machine and Snow Day Cupcakes

Gumball Machine and Snow Day Cupcakes for Adrianne's 15th Birthday. The gumball Machine cupcakes are my own creation, they are a work in progress. I like using Oreos as my go to cupcake topper. There are so many fun things I can do with them from snow tires to snow men faces.
