Red Velvet Birthday Cupcakes

This was definitely a cupcake crazy weekend. I made Red Velvet cupcakes for a birthday and a media presentation my husband was working on for his marketing class. A fictitious cupcake bakery and cafe in Bangor Maine called Juli's Cupcake Cafe. Adrianne and Ernie spent the morning making fondant snowmen. It was an all hands on deck family fun activity from filming the presentation to acting as extras stealing cupcakes in the background.

Snowball the Elf Cupcakes

Snowball has done it again! All she wanted was a fun day in the snow with her friends before the Christmas rush. But instead of starting a snowball fight she started an avalanche and took all her friends with her!   http://www.365ishpins.com/snowball-elf-cupcakes/ .
my cupcakes are Peppermint white Chocolate with a vanilla and peppermint butter cream frosting.

Thanks Emma-Lea for the Photos!!

Cupcake Thursday! Practicing with new Russian Piping Tips

Have you seen these new Russian Piping tips the ones with the ball tips? I just received mine in the mail. I decided to try them out this morning. Not wanting to waist expensive ingredients on practicing I used canned frosting. The consistency was a little to soft but worked ok, but I don't recommend using canned frosting for a finished product. I watched a few tutorials on YouTube and found them educational. I found the tips easy to use after some practice. Also I think the little tins they came in are cute. I ordered my tips on Amizon.
