Pretzel Pumpkin Cupcake

Its finally October ! I love cupcakes and I love the fall.The changing leaves, apple cider, pumpkins and crisp cool days this is my favorite time of year . My Pretzel Pumpkin cupcake is a chocolate cupcake warmed up with spices such as cinnamon ,nutmeg,allspice and cardamom topped with an orange cream cheese buttercream frosting. Topped with a pretzel pumpkin .                                     
My 8 yr.old daughter Maddy made the fleese pumpkin at church the other night there is a roll of toilet paper inside ! So cute!

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins with Streusel topping

My daughter Emma-Lea asked me the other day if I could make something for her for breakfast. She wanted  something she could eat in the car on our way to seminary at 5:15 am .I made Banana Bread last week .This week it is Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Streusel muffins .I started with Pillsbury Quick Bread and Muffin mix and added chocolate chips to the batter about 1cup .The topping is 2tbs of each of the following cinnamon sugar,brown sugar,flour,and butter combine with a fork in a small bowl until it looks crumbly like wet sand .Top each muffin with topping and bake at 400degrees for 15 to20 minutes.makes 15 muffins .

 I do know how to make these from scratch I have a wonderful recipe that I grew up with that my parents made all the time .My Husband Ernie was given the box of mix last year as a Christmas gift so I thought I would use it and I have to say they are really good!

Labor Day Picnic Apple Cupcakes

 Today was the Labor Day Picnic for the Kensington Ward .
The girls had fun with their new friends .Ernie played softball and I got to know the people in our new ward .I think I am going to like it here.
 I think the cupcakes would be cute for back to school too.
Apple for the teacher or something like that.

 

Black Forest Cupcakes

Its been along time since I have posted anything new .We have moved back to the east coast. Silver Spring MD. to be exact .My husband is now working at the VA in DC. He also takes the Metro so now I have a car !Its only taken 15 years.
Anyway back to the cupcakes My daughter Emma-Lea had a back to Seminary fireside last night so we made Black Forest cupcakes with cherry filling inside a chocolate cupcake with creamy vanilla frosting .

Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins



     I wanted to use up some ripe bananas .I also wanted to make some thing fun for Ernie's 11 year old Primary class.Next Sunday is his last before we make our big move .So I decided to make banana chocolate chip muffins .But they looked kind of naked. I dressed them in chocolate frosting ,mini chocolate chips and a banana marshmallows .It was a party Ernie's teaching partner brought cookies and they watched a DVD .The kids think they have the best teachers ! I know they do!!

   



One Cool Pop Cupcakes Fathers Day

Happy Fathers Day to my Dad and to my Husband I hope you both had a wonderful day !

These cupcakes are  an orange cupcake with an orange and vanilla cream swirl frosting.The cupcake topper is  Mike &Ike's candies made to look like Popsicles with flat tooth pics.

I made these cupcakes for a Fathers Day get together after church this afternoon .
